What is Poha?

Ah wait for my visitors across the globe I want to say Poha is nothing it is Flattened rice. Now I guess you got it. Poha is also called beaten rice. These flakes of rice swell when added to liquid, whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk, or any other liquids.

It’s normally used to prepare snacks or light and easy fast food in a variety of Indian cuisine styles. This is a famous breakfast of Western India(Gujarat, Maharashtra). Like idli and dosa in Southern India like Poha in western India.

This is an easily digestible form of raw rice. Its best quality is that it can be made easily in a very short time.
Doctors also say that breakfast should be taken in the morning to keep the body fit.

Poha is one such option that gives you energy till lunchtime. This is one of the benefits of Poha. By consuming it in the morning breakfast, you will feel energized throughout the day. Being light, it digests easily. Consuming poha at breakfast does not make you feel heavy all day. So eating poha for breakfast in the morning is very good for your digestive system.

Poha is very beneficial for health. Poha is used to prepare many types of dishes. Poha is a carbohydrate-rich food that helps us in getting enough energy and power.

The different thickness of the poha is due to the pressure exerted on the rice. The amount of oil used in making poha is very less. It is very tasty to eat less oil breakfast. And it is healthy, whenever you want to make some quick breakfast, you can make poha. Everyone will surely like it.
