Here are 15 simple hair care habits you need to adopt right now:
1. Comb your hair everyday!
I remember how I stopped combing my hair because of workload and hair fall problems. I thought I had a hair fall problem so if I comb my hair it will break my hair more. My grandmother and mom scolded me for this.
They said,” If you don’t bathe your body will become dirty, same if you don’t comb your hair every day your hair becomes dirty and weak”. I think they are right. Comb your hair every day. Detangle it. It will make them easier to manage.
Tip: Always comb your hair before shampooing and before bed.
2. Hair wash:
Often my beauty bees asked me this question that:
Q. Should we wash our hair with cold water or hot water?
We all have this question. Many people say that you should always wash your hair with cold water.
That’s helpful but do you know the right way to wash your hair?
Okay, listen! We should use both Warm water and cold water. How? And why? See the right way to wash your hair:
• Warm water should be used when cleansing your hair at the beginning of the hair wash. This is because warm water allows the cuticles of the hair, and pores on the scalp to open up. And this will help remove any dirt or buildup from the scalp and hair.

Now the cons of using warm water in Hair wash is that it does create frizz and makes the hair dry sometimes, so you should use warm water just for cleansing the hair or you can say before shampooing.
Secondly,
• Cold water should be used after conditioning your hair or you can say at the end of hair wash. This is because cold water closes the cuticles and pores in the scalp. It truly helps in sealing in the hair’s moisture and also helps in clumping the hair together.
So while warm water creates frizz, cold water tends to flatten the hair. Now you know how water temperatures affect our hair – So you can use this method on your next hair wash day.
3. Shampooing:
Shampooing your hair is so important. Like we wash our clothes to remove dirt, same we shampoo our hairs to remove dirt and make the scalp more clear. Shampoo your hair once or twice a week. If you have long hair and you are a busy bee then you can shampoo your hair once a week like me.

Always use sulfate-free shampoo. Now that’s important. Why? Because sulfates may strip away too much moisture. It can make your hair dry and unhealthy.
They can also make the scalp dry and prone to irritation especially if you have sensitive skin or hair. Always use sulfate-free shampoo for your hair to make them healthy.
Remember: More the natural, more the health!
4. Conditioning:
All dirt will be removed after shampooing your hair. And after this, you need to nourish your hair with deep conditioning. Conditioner makes hair softer and easier to manage. I always condition my hair after shampoo. I personally recommend this Conditioner for soft, silky and frizz-free hair:
This comes in a spray kind of bottle and very easy to store. It’s totally free of sulfates & parabens and also suits all hair types including color-treated hair.
5. Hair drying:
The hairs are so delicate. We have to keep them safe and treat them gently. Don’t use any hairdryer after washing your hair. Keep it Natural. Let it dry in natural air. You can squeeze to get the water out from the hairs but don’t use dirty towels or harsh material.
You can use a simple cotton t-shirt of yours to dry your hair. It will be gentle with your hair and minimize hair breakage after hair wash.
Tip: Never comb your hair after hair and wash. It can break your hair.
6. Avoid heat:
We all like hair styling products. There are a lot of products like hair straightener, hairdryer, hot air brush, and whatnot. Your hair contains keratin proteins and hydrogen bonds. When you use heat styling tools, such as curling irons, flat irons, or blow-dry, they strip your hair of its natural oils and proteins by breaking down its hydrogen bonds.

The truth is that breaking down hydrogen bonds is the reason your heat styling tools are able to give you the look you want. They change your hair texture in order to achieve straightness, curliness, or sleekness.
Regular uses for these hair heat styling products can badly affect your hair. It can give you the look you want but in the end, it only makes your hair dry, frizzy, and lifeless.
So don’t use these tools regularly. Try to avoid it as much as you can. And if you are in a profession like modeling, anchoring, stage performer then you can use heat protection sprays or heat protection serums.
This will protect your hair and you will be able to style your hair as you want with less harm. Here is some heat protection you can try now:

A good hair comb is always important to treat your delicate hair. Always use a Wide-tooth comb for your hair. I will recommend you to use a wood comb. Using a wooden comb may prove better for your hair than a plastic comb. Here are some environmental friendly wooden combs that you need to buy now:
8. Hairstyles:
Hairstyles play a major part in your look, But a tight hairstyle like a high ponytail can affect your scalp. Please don’t be rude with your hair. They need care too. High and tight hairstyles can give you a headache. And it’s been quite uncomfortable.
Try loose hairstyles. A simple braid, a loose ponytail, and a low messy bun can be so cute as well as It will manage your delicate hair very gently.
9. Oiling:
The famous Indian ‘Champi’ or head massage practice has been going on for generations. And a lot of us massage the scalp before washing the hair. By applying oil to the hair, the hair can be prevented from premature graying, This strengthens the hair root and reduces stress by massaging the pressure points.
