Top 3 Homemade Face Masks for Oily Skin to Try now

Homemade Face Mask 1: Oatmeal and Yogurt

Oatmeal and yogurt are great ingredients to use in a face mask for oily skin.

Oatmeal has mild exfoliating properties. It can help remove dead skin cells and excess oil from the skin’s surface.

No one likes dead skin cells right? Oatmeal will help you to remove these.

It also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. These properties of Oatmeal can help to soothe and calm the skin.

The second ingredient of this mask is Yogurt. Yogurt contains lactic acid, which can help to exfoliate and improve the texture of the skin. Also, it’s a very gentle ingredient.

It also contains probiotics that can help to balance the skin’s natural pH and reduce the appearance of pores.

To make this face mask. You will need:

  • 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • A few drops of lemon juice (it’s optional)

To make the face mask, mix all ingredients together in a clean bowl. Make a smooth paste of it.

If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little bit more yogurt. Fix the consistency.

How to apply this face mask:

  • To apply the face mask, start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser. Patting it dry.
  • Then, apply a thin layer of the face mask to your face, please avoid the eye area.

  • Leave the face mask on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water and pat your skin dry.

You can then follow up with a moisturizer for nourishment.

Homemade Face Mask 2: Gram Flour And Honey

This is our all-time best face pack for oily skin. My skin is oily too and trust me this homemade face pack works really well for oily skin.

Gram flour also called besan is a gentle cleanser. It makes our skin soft and clear. It removes blemishes. It also fades out the dark spots. Ubtan is also made of gram flour.

The second ingredient of this face pack is honey. Honey is a medicine for our skin. I have already talked about honey so much in our previous posts.

To make this face mask. You will need:

  • 1 tsp Besan (gram flour)
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Small pinch of turmeric
  • Rose water

To make this face pack, mix all the ingredients mentioned above and make a fine paste of it.

How to apply this face pack:

  • Wash your face and let it dry.
  • Now apply the paste to your face.
  • Let it dry for 15-20 minutes.
  • Now wash your face with warm water.

Homemade Face Mask 3: Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar

A homemade face mask for oily skin can be extremely effective if it contains both clay and apple cider vinegar. Bentonite clay, in particular, is an absorbent clay that can help remove greasy buildup and other skin blemishes.

It contains detoxifying effects that can aid in pore cleansing and can also help to tighten and firm the skin. Vinegar made from apples must have astringent properties.

Clay and apple cider vinegar is great for oily skin. Clay removes toxins from the skin. It is a complete solution for oily skin.

To make this face mask, you’ll need:

  • 1/2 teaspoon talc (preferably bentonite clay)
  • Apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon

To make the face mask, mix the clay and apple cider vinegar together in a small bowl until a smooth paste is formed. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little bit more apple cider vinegar.

How to use this face pack:

  • Wash your skin with a mild cleanser and pat it dry before applying the mask.
  • Then, spread the mask thinly around your face.
  • After 10 to 15 minutes, remove the face mask with warm water and pat your skin dry.
  • After cleansing, you can apply moisturizer if you choose.

Depending on your skin type, you can use this mask anywhere from once a week to twice a week. Do a little patch test before using a new facial care product all over your face to be sure there are no allergic reactions.
